Dolphin will check if that file exists in the same directory, then it will not use the global user directory, instead it will create and use the local user directory in the same directory. Close the dialog box once you’re done with the changes.
It is also possible for the data that was created with Dolphin to be added back into the real GameCube Memory Card using GCMM and an SD card.
